Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are. It is written for visitors to the website. If we act for you, we will give you further information about how we handle your information when we start work.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Sintel Global (“we”, “us”), which is based in Jersey. We decide how the information described below is used, which makes us the “controller” under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
You can contact us through the Contact page.
2. What information we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address and the message you write.
- Email and telephone. The details you give us and what you tell us in the conversation.
- Website use. Our web server records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We do not use analytics or advertising tools on this website.
Please keep your first message to the details we need to understand your enquiry. Do not send privileged or highly sensitive information until we have spoken.
3. Why we use your information
| What we do | Our reason (lawful basis) |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and discuss whether we can help | You asked us to, and it is in our legitimate interest to run our business |
| Keep a record of enquiries, and protect the form from spam and misuse | Our legitimate interest |
| Keep the website secure and working | Our legitimate interest |
| Meet legal, regulatory or professional duties | Legal obligation |
We do not sell your information. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share it with
- Our team and our sister firm. Enquiries may be shared with Sinels Advocates, where that helps us deal with your enquiry.
- Service providers that help us run the website: our hosting provider, a database service that stores form submissions, an email delivery service that sends them on, and Cloudflare (domain and security services). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Advisers, courts and regulators, where the law requires it or we need to protect our rights.
5. Transfers outside Jersey
Some of our providers are based in, or store information in, the UK, the European Union or the United States. Where that happens, we use providers that apply recognised safeguards for personal information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you come back to us. If we act for you, we keep the file for as long as our legal and professional duties require. We then delete the information or make it anonymous.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, in some cases;
- limit how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- give you your information in a form you can move to another provider, in some cases.
To use any of these rights, contact us through the Contact page. We will reply within the time the law allows.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (jerseyoic.org). If you live in the UK or EU, you may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
This website is for businesses and professionals. It is not aimed at children.
